Viper tried her best to ignore Zabini who was reading over her shoulder. She found it rather irratating. Her eyes scanned over the names of suspected death eaters who had been involved, thankfully her parents names werent there. Though part of her had hoped they would be caught simply so it would one less obsticle but if they had been caught she would be questioned so it would put whatever plans they had on hold.
She turned the page and looked for anything else of interest. "Its rude to stare" Viper stated simply without looking up from the paper. "Its also rude to steal other peoples papers" he replied looking at her. "You shouldnt leave it laying around then" she said looking at him with a smirk. She let their eyes meet for a moment before turning another page.
After turning a few more pages she realised there was nothing else of interest to her in the paper. She let out a sigh as she closed it. After folding it in half she held it out to Zabini. "Here" she said. "Thanks" he replied with a smirk taking the paper from her hand.
"Viper, its almost dinner time. You coming?" Cassandra Delphine asked as she made her way to Viper. Viper wasnt very hungry but was looking for an excuse to get away from Zabini. "Sure" she said getting up and walking away without saying goodbye to Blaise or inviting him to join them.
Once there Viper looked around to keep note of who was around. She decided to keep her attention on the food infront of her rather than those around her. If anyone started anything she wouldnt ignore it, the mood she was in she felt like hexing someone but had to keep her composure like a good little pureblood.

Draco picked at his food for a while before shaking himself out of his thoughts and taking a few bites. He wasn’t hungry. Never was really. He knew he needed to at least keep up his strength and so he ate something. His father gave him a sceptical look. The family patriarch eyed his son thinking maybe he may have been to leniant on his son before. He would have to remember that for tomorrow. His son had been showing signs of disobedience and he could not have his son... the heir to the Malfoy name come in behind a filthy little mudblood now could he?
Draco was well aware of his father’s eyes on him, but really he was too exhausted to really care. He sighed as he finished his plate. His ran a hand through his hair. He closed his eyes for a moment.. the boy opened his eyes looking around the room watching all his school-mates having a carefree diner. Oh how he wished he could be one of them... the blond mentally berated himself. Those were meaningless thoughts that did not belong here. The boy sneered something at Potter as he passed and Crabbe and Goyle laughed.
Then Snape also kept his eye on his students. Draco had seemed even more withdrawn and wehre he would have normally already have been out baggering the ‘golden trio’ the most he’d seen the his godson do this year, were a few insults and sneers. Then there was Viper... he knew he had made a mistake the other day confronting her like that. Maybe he should have a talk with her once more... Things were not going to be easy this year.
As soon as he was done he rose to his feet and followed by his cronies and headed down to the dungeons and to the Slytherin rooms. He spent the next few hours studying and writing notes and essays for his father.... he just needed to be ‘perfect’ this year. Even if he realized that it was pointless, and that no matter how hard he tried, his efforts would be futile.
(I’m going to head to bed now... )

Viper played with her food eating a bit every now and again but just wasn't hungry today. She had planned to skip dinner altogether but instead ended up having to talk with Blaize. She sighed before she ate a small spoonful of dinner. Her mind wasn't focused on convocations around her or the odd comment that Delphine said to her, but she nodded, smirked or shook her head accordingly.
She looked around the hall when she had finished her dinner and waited for the plates to change. Snape was looking over at her, she turned her gaze away from his so that he wouldn't be able to read her mind but yet he kept looking. With a sigh Viper stood up, "Excuse me" she said more to Delphine than anyone else, she walked out of the hall but instead of carrying on to wards the dungeons she made a right and up the staircase. 'I need somewhere to train undisturbed, I need somewhere to train undisturbed, I need somewhere to train undisturbed' she thought three times as she reached the room of requirement.
A door appeared and the room on the inside looked just the same as yesterday. She removed her jumper and pulled out her wand. Her jumper was placed neatly on a chair before she made her way over to the fake death eater. Unlike yesterday the fake death eaters wand shot different colored lights at her, each one meant to represent a different spell. Viper fought the death eater with ease, ducking and diving the lights, shooting silent spells back at it. Today she trained not because she had to but because she needed an outlet for her anger.
Whenever she fought she felt like another person, that she wasn't all herself. Maybe Voldemort saw that too. With one final curse the fake death eater disappeared into a pile of dust. Re-pocketing her wand she tied her jumper around her waist, she'd put it on again once she had cooled off.
Quickly and quietly she made her way to the common room. There was hardly anyone in the corridors at this hour. She made her way there easily without anyone stopping her. As she walked in the room she noticed a few students scattered here and there. Ignoring them she took her bag from her dorm and took a seat at a table of the corner of the room.
She set out her quill, ink and parchment along with a book. She really should write a reply to her father but she too angry with him for the moment. So for now she focused her attention on the evaluation for her essay.
[So sorry it took so long to reply, things have been hectic here lately but they aren't too bad at the moment]

Draco sighed slightly and rubbed his eyes as he was exhausted. Snape entered the common-room. “Mr. Malfoy, come with me” he ordered and Draco frowned at his godfather “Yes professor?” he agreed confused. What did the potion-master want now? He followed the greasy-haired man down to his office.
“Have a seat” the man told him and as always... the blond heir complied. He wasn’t even sure if he knew how to disobbey as discipline and following orders had been apart of his life for as long as he could remember. “What is it Severus?” the teen asked as he sat down carefully. The man sat behind his desk and eyed his god-child sceptically “Do not play me for a fool Mr. Malfoy” he sighed raising his eyebrows, his obsedian eyes boring themselves into the blond’s steel ones “Are you going to tell me volentarilly, or am I going to have to force you?” he asked.
Draco narrowed his eyes “Don’t even think about it Sev” he warned but the elder male would have none of it “Those are your options Draco” he sternly told the tall heir who eyed him with nothing but contempt and resentment. He grit his teeth but eventually shook his head “There is nothing to tell you” he insisted. Snape sighed and closed his eyes before retrieving his wand pointing it at the boy before him “Revello” he muttered, but it was strong enough to reveal the teen injuries to his godfather. Draco closed his eyes ‘Oh no, oh no...’his mind screamed but he forced his expression into that of one of pure hatret. Snape heaved a heavy sigh “Draco...” he muttered “Why didn’t you ever tell me?” he asked. “Because I didn’t want anyone to know, and because you wouldn’t have been able to help anyway” he replied angrilly muttering something under his breath convering everything up once again “You better keep quiet Sev, wouldn’t want people to know your little secret now would you?” he threatened. Snape sighed “Do not make threats you are not going to follow through on” he told the blond who growled something inaudible before storming from the room leaving a befuddled potion-professor.
He stalked back up the stairs as it had become times for his meeting with Viper. He stalked into the room, pissed of. Snape had really crossed the line as far as our troubled teen was concerned and he was going to get him back for it, that was for damn sure!” He sat down deep in thought as he waited.

Viper continued to write her conclusion, she had no idea why she would work so hard on her school work other than trying to beat that know-it-all Granger. Her parents had no care in her, the letter from them earlier had proved that. If she failed any classes then she would pay if she fell below her normal standard then standard then she would pay.
Happy with what she had done Viper rolled up her parchement. Noticing Zabini in the far side of the room with his latest conquest she looked away. She gathered her work, quill and ink and made her way to her dorms.
The room was empty which suited her just fine, Pansy was who knows where, Delphine would probably be near her and the other two that shared the room with her werent overly important. Viper never spoke to them, then again she never really spoke to anyone. Sure she'd talk to Delphine but Draco was something new. Sighing her eyes gazed over at the small window.
A small smirk lingered on her lips as she watched the water on the window, it strangely suited the Slytherin lifestyle. Their common room in the dungons, locked away from the others just like any hope of being individual. Slytherins had a reputation so surely a view of the trees and sky would give anyone hope.
Viper put her possessions in her trunk and boredly read a book she had taken from the room of requirement yesturday called Dark Magic and its origins. Before she knew it she could hear people walking around on the stairs to the dorms and when Pansy and Delphine entered Viper took it as her cue to leave. "Not staying?" Pansy asked questioningly. "Not really" She put her book in her trunk letting it lock itself and leaving before she had a chance to reply.
As she reached the bottom of the stairs she looked up and saw Draco. "Sorry if I kept you waiting" She said walking over, noticing that the room was pretty much empty. She stood near him "Should we go? Zabini is some what occupied but Parkinson may be up for an arguement" she said quietly.

Draco sighed as he put his books away. The letters were trying to swim in front of his eyes. He closed his eyes as he shook his had clear. The blond heir felt his mind wander and wondered if he should just give up already. Throw the towel into the ring and congratulate his parents on their win. He sighed and rose to his feet. He would just have to get through… not that he cared… life, death… both would be hell for him… or so he thought. He sat near the window and stared out over the dark Hogwarts grounds. He could do this for hours at the Manor if given half the chance. That of course wasn’t often. He yawned folding his arms behind his head.
Snape had watched his god-child leave barely eating a thing. He sighed as he turned to his supposed friend. He hated having to pretend to actually be on the same page as his former school-mate and now fellow teacher. He wondered how much Draco could handle. He had always been surprised at how resilient the boy was. The raven-haired potion-master nodded at something Lucius said. He would just have to play his part and see if there were opportunities to help the young Malfoy along the way… how he had no idea yet. He would have to talk to him tomorrow, as well as Viper (I forgot her last name….). They both needed help or would be doomed to a world of death and despair.
He had made that mistake himself a long time ago and even though he had been grateful for Dumbledore’s help living among death-eaters and pretending to be one had taken its toll on the man, and he was going to do everything in his power to keep these mere children from having to endure the same fate. He would just have to talk to them later… right now he had consented into having a drink with Lucius. They were going to discuss some dark-lord business. He just hoped it wouldn’t take too long.
Draco looked up from his position and then saw it had gotten time for him to get to their arranged meeting place. He sighed as he made his way up the stairs and into the room settling himself in the window-sill and simply stared outside waiting for the girl to arrive… he let his mind drift back to earlier conversations and he just hoped they’d be able to find some way out of their predicament. He hadn’t the foggiest idea even where to start. He rubbed his temples trying to ease the throbbing in his head.

Viper left the common room her mask firmly in place, expressionless as she should be. Quietly she made her way up the staircase trying to figure out what to do, trying to organise her thoughts before she saw Draco. That guy had his own problems without her adding to them, besides since when did Viper share her problems with anyone. She didnt even have a diary for merlins sake. Turning left at the top of the staircase, she carried on walking to the room Draco had told her about yesturday. How were they going to escape thier fate? They would need to trust each other first that much was obvious. Yesturday was the first step, Viper had never trusted anyone before. Not even Delphine or Parkinson was trusted. Perhaps she should know what he was capable of, that would certainly help planning. Her fathers letter ran through her mind again as she continued walking. Who did he think he was? Forcing that on her? She didnt even care, she knew it was coming but it would have been nice to be consulted. Was only her future he had decided. She paused outside the door for a moment. Her hand on the handle she closed her eyes and took a calming breath before walking in to see him already waiting on the window sill. "Sorry if I kept you waiting" she said closing the door behind her and sat on a nearby chair. "Things on my mind, I should have your potion done by tomorrow. Though I have some with me now if you have another headache" she said noticing him rub his temples.
