They'd work in real life, but thier parent's were killed by voldemort, but i could change that to they were just killed by a random madman or something, and they are looking for the killer, They work best in a Bording school situation though, would that be okay?

A small brunette awoke bolting upright in bed. She sighed… Not again…? She yawned as she slowly rose from her small bed tiptoeing to the door of her room as there were voices now travelling their way up stairs. She sighed as she carefully opened the door. She peered out from around the corner seeing her mother slouched on the stairs with some guy looming over her. She sighed. She knew her mother needed help. The man now looked up and noticed the small girl, He gave her a lopsided grin before straightening up and stumbling towards the small girl who now took an involuntary step back swallowing. She however knew what was going to happen and also knew that fighting was pointless. The man ran a large, dirty hand through her long dark curls. She bit the inside of her lip but kept silent.

“My, my, aren’t you a pretty one?” he slurred.

The girl took a deep breath and just stared at the ground when he started guiding her to the bed in her room. She simply let it happen taking of her nightgown as she sat on the bed, the man large hands roaming over her pale naked flesh. She didn’t dare resist. It would only hurt more and give a lot of drama. When the guy was satisfied he simply left leaving her free to go check on her mother. She slowly moved to the stairs where her mother was still sat. She sighed wrapping one arm of her mother around her shoulder and supporting the older brunette with a hand around her waist. She lead the woman to the bathroom where she threw up in the toilet. Faith practically forced some water down her mother’s throat before guiding her to the ‘master’ bedroom in the house tucking her mother into bed before cleaning up the mess that had been left. She then turned back to her own room tears starting to form in large deep brown eyes. She clenched her jaw however and bit them back angrily. It wasn’t like that would help anything or make things better. She then stepped into the dingy bathroom taking a long hot shower, her skin raw and painful as she slipped between her sheets again closing her eyes. How much longer could she handle this? She groaned as she tossed and turned for the rest of the night.

When her alarm went of she slowly turned to the blasted thing and turned it of. She kept staring at the ceiling for a few more minutes. She sighed getting up disappearing of into the bathroom getting dressed into her usual dark jeans and short top. Sure she knew she was known as the school ‘slut’ and hell, she couldn’t blame them. She had fucked almost every boy there. She didn’t care though. It gave her the power she so desperately needed. The power she didn’t possess back home.

She applied her mostly stolen make-up… Hell she had to try and make sure they would not get evicted, she didn’t have money for things like eye-shadow, lipstick etc. She then headed down the stairs and headed into the small kitchen deep in thought as she made some breakfast. Yesterday had been so weird. Some woman had come over to her and had told her they needed to talk. She hadn’t known what to make of it and had simply shrugged and walked along with her. She had been stunned… She was chosen to kill vampires, demons and other stuff? How was that even possible? She was a screw-up, always had been. She had just stared at her like she’d gone mad and smirked

“I think I should be calling the good man in white” she had responded.

The woman had shaken her head “I know this is a lot to take in Faith” she said understandingly “But make no mistake, it most certainly is the truth, come by the Northern Cemetery tonight and you’ll see” she had suggested before walking away.

The brunette sat at the kitchen-table munching on some bread before making her mother a few sandwiches for when she’d wake up. She then grabbed her bag and headed out the door to make her way to school.

[[Last night had been scary. She had gone to the graveyard and had met up with the woman from the other day. She had stood over a what seemed to be fresh grave and when she’d asked what the hell they were doing there the woman had just pointed at the grave and had told her to wait. It hadn’t taken long for a hand to shoot out of the grave and Faith had jumped back a little. The man that emerged had first looked confused but then smiled wickedly.

“So they bring take-out now too?” he had smirked.

The brunette had gasped when the man changed into his vampire features and turned to the woman “What do I do now?” she asked a slight panic to her voice.

The woman smiled “just follow you’re instincts” she had said.

Faith sighed and nodded narrowing her brown eyes as the man advanced. They fought for a good while before she had finally been able to stake him leaving nothing but dust. ]]

Now she was making her way to school.. something she really hated… but hey, she didn’t want to get expelled now did she? She entered the large building and whispers started erupt around her. She smirked.. god did she hate all this goody-two-shoes hypocrites that she went to school with. She sighed deeply as she took a few books out of her locker and headed into her first period of the day ahead. She sat at the back of class counting the seconds as the teacher droned on about one thing or another. She sighed resting her head on her hands staring out the window... This was going to be one long day....

The school dormatory was always hectic come eight am. Student`s rushing about, fighting over mirrors and plugs and the like. It was all so juvinile, so infintile, so, benieth them.

Shun finished drying his shaggy mop in the bathroom that connected thier two rooms and looked over at Kitty, who stood in the window watching the other students rush about. Normally, boy`s and girl`s were seperated in two different wings, but, the connected room they used durring the school year, was proof that money could buy anything.

He circled his arms around her and settled his chin on her shoulder.

“ What is the pretty little Kitty thinking of?” he asked as he fiddled with the shiny pearls she wore every single day. He tribute to a mother taken from her far too early in life.

“Think they'd be proud of us?” The sadness in her voice almost broke his heart. The end of the school year aproached and it would be the second last under their belt's. So close to graduation and they still hadn't found out much about their parents.

“ Yeah.”


Kitty felt her perfectly black lined eyes water and the comfortably snugness of her black strapless top started feeling as if it was crushing her, she winced and untangled herself from Shun's grasp.

“ Come on, we're going to be late”

She lifted the both of their bags and Shun took them both as he always did, one over each shoulder as he grasped her hand. They locked the door and made their way down the steps and over the bricked path that lead up to the school.

“ Look at that it's so gross!”

“Arn't they siblings?”

“Isn't that illegal?”

These followed them like a stench and rolled over them in an attempt to knock them off guard, in an attempt to arouse a response. Instead it only made Shun's grip on her hand tighten and her thought's drift back to their parents.

They had always told the two they were special, that they had brought the two single parent's together and the love they shared had caused Kitty's Mother and Shun's Father to fall in love also.

But then, the young love of their parent's possesion had been snatched away.......


Kitty walked into thefamily room and screamed
Shun, fresh out of his evening shower rushed to her side and stared in shock at the scene as he gathered the now crying girl into his arms.
Her mother was slumpped, in the costume from her late night filming, over the white marble piano, her throat slit, In her blood a message was written.

'It's Mine'

Shun's father was by the door, his hand stuck clutching one of the ancient samari swords he collected, another was stuck in his back, in the blood that pooled around him someone had writtenanother message.

'Give it back'

The madman had not been found yet, so the fourtune their parents worked hard to earn, was passed to them, and they were using every penny to live the lives their parents would have wanted them to. And to find out more about exactly what had happened to them.

“Kitty, out of your dase already! Class is about to start.” Shun whispere in her ear as they settled in their desks his behind her's. “ By the way? Is that a new perfume?”

Kitty smirked as Shun settled back in his seat with a chuckle.

Faith ran a hand through her wild brown mane that she had inherited from her mother… well... perhaps her father too. She didn’t know who her father was. Hell, not even her mother would be able to tell her that. Not that she cared. She’d grown up having to take care of herself. Herself and her mother. It had been hard at first. She had been left home alone a lot ever since she could remember and then have to try and take care of her mother when she would returned stumbling into the house early in the morning. She had at times even sat with her mother’s side for hours when the older woman had passed out and she was not able to wake her. She had learned to cook… of sorts and do groceries, as someone had to make sure there was something edible in the house. She stared out the window as the teacher just continued about one thing or another. The young 14 year old closed her amber eyes just ignoring the ramblings of the teacher. The girl turned as some boys stared at her. She sighed knowing that was known as the ‘slut’ and that they thought that she was easy. She sighed… it wasn’t as they were wrong.

There were not many boys around here that she hadn’t had. She didn’t even really know why. Probably to with control. Control she had never had when her mother would bring home one of her ‘friends’. They had made her… now she was the one in charge… she decided when it happened and what she was willing to do. it was rather therapeutic. The girl just shoved people out of her way as she went outside for a smoke. Yes she knew that it was bad, but really why did she care? Life needed to be lived and well, it wasn’t as if she had not done things that were way more hazardous to her health…. Yes she had tried some of her mother’s stash… and wow… that had been an amazing few hours. She still smiled thinking about that. Her mother had given her hell over it, her mother had been so angry that she had taken something of hers as now the elder Lehane had to go get some more. Faith just rolled her eyes. It was her that took care of everything around the house for crying out loud… she had earned it!

She just reached the doors and headed outside. She didn’t care about being late to class… School didn’t matter. It wasn’t as if she was ever going to make something of herself either way… and now with what that British woman had told her… from what she could deduct, she wasn’t going to end up living ‘happily ever after’. She rolled her eyes at her own thoughts as she lit a cigarette and took a deep drag from it letting it flow into her lungs. Then she slowly walked into her next class. She didn’t even know what it was exactly. She glanced over at the board and realized that it was maths. Ugh… she really, really hated it. She just brushed some hair from her face as she just stared out the window again.

“Miss Lehane” the teacher called out now standing in front of the girl’s desk. The brown head snapped up “huh?” she asked confused. The man before her smiles slightly “would you be so kind as to solve the equation on the board?” he asked and the girl glanced up at the board wondering what the hell they were doing. She gave it a once over before going to the board doing what she was asked to do. Yes it wasn’t that she didn’t know how to do it… it was just rather pointless to her. She sat back down and went back to staring out the window

Kitty's eyes fell on the sky outside the window, teachers never called on the two of them in class. They seemed to think that if the two of them would leave the school if they disliked something. It was true, there was, after all, no reson for them to be here.

She'd been six when she'd been offered her first acting job, her mother had told her it was her choice and she had turned it down. But she knew she'd be able to start in the buisness again at any time.

“ Kitty...Here, look.” Shun passed her an old newspaper cliping and she sighed. She'd seen the darn thing so many times. It was their parent's obituary, the funny thing about it though, was that they hadn't written it, and after four years of trying, they still hadn't found who had, they only had a name , and not even that.
“ Shun..... Do we really have to sit here arguing about how this “ Lady Mysterious of yours are we...?” Kitty whispered as she put her hand up, perfectly willing to correct the girl's mistake on the board.

“ Miss Hiro.... Do you know what is wrong with the sulution on the board?”

“ The decimal.... she forgot to carry it down, and when adding two negatives, the answer is positie, not negative.” Kitty recited as she rose from her seat. “ But that's not it.... The whole equation is a trick...May I?”

She didn't wait for an answer as she picked up a piece of chalk and moved to the origional equation. “ See here... X is already solved for here.... You don't have to solve for it.... It's just a matter of simplifying.... X equals a squared.”

Kitty smiled at the teacher, and then at the girl, tilting her head when she realized she should have recognised her, they'd been in the same class all year. She felt bad, but there was nothing for it, she went back to her seat and when the bell rang she caught up to the girl.

“ Don't feel bad.... I got it wrong the first time too... But Shun showed me how to look for signs, he obsesses over things like that....” Kitty paused, the girl was awfully pale, and looked tired beyond belief “ Do you...want to skip the next few classes? You could come hang out with us in the school dorm...Yu won't get in trouble if your with us.


Shun blanched, Kitty was always like this with people... she didn't like upstagng, and hated to see people feel bad.

He didn't mind her bonding with female students....
He'd just been hoping to have her to himself, he wanted to see if that pretty blush she made whenever he kissed her covered more than just her face.

The girl did look pale,

And he really could wait. He'd wait ed years for Kitty, he'd wait more if he had too.

“ Yeah, Kitty's already beaten me at chess enough times, she needs a new oponant to slaughter.... And I have a mystery to work on...

They both looked at the girl, waiting for her answer, Shun had already pulled out a notebook and was scribbling a not for their teacher, he would run off and deliver it when the girl agreed to join them, if she agreed to join them.

The girl glanced over at the board as some other girl corrected the equation that she had solved. She frowned wondering how on earth she had made those simply mistakes… perhaps it would do well for her to start actually paying attention and doing her homework. She just couldn’t seem to really care. it wasn’t going to help her any anyway. She yawned as the girl sat back down and the teacher nodded his approval. She closed her eyes again staring out the window once more. She was just so tired. Now she also had that slaying and training to fit into her schedule. She had never been one to have much sleep. Her mother would often leave her alone and ever since she was little she’d wait up for her mother to return so that she could help put the older woman in bed. That often meant the young girl stayed up until early in the morning when her mother would stumble back into the house. First she had just waited on the couch in front of the TV but her mother at one time had brought someone home with her. Her mother had passed out on the couch next to her daughter while the guy she had brought with her glanced over from mother to daughter. A smile appeared on his face… a smile the young girl did not like at all.

She had gotten up from the couch to go over to her mother’s side so she could start trying to figure out a way to get her mother from the couch and into her bed when the man stepped forward and stopped her with his big hand. She had swallowed and looked up at the guy. He had just picked her up and simply walked into another room, that just happened to be the girl’s bedroom. She had been too stunned and scared to protest of do anything really. She had just stared up at the guy with big brown eyes as the then seven year old was trying to make sense of this all. The man told her what to do and she knew she had no choice but to just do as she was told. When the man had finally been satisfied he stumbled out of the room and house. She had laid on her bed for a few minutes before rising to her feet walking back over to her mother and helping her to the master bedroom before taking a long, long hot shower scrubbing until her soft pale skin was all red and raw. This would not be the last time she would follow this routine… not by a long shot. Her mother would bring home guys often and for some reason many of them would end up in her room.

Now it seemed she was kick-ass vampire slayer… so why had she allowed that to happen again last night? Why hadn’t she stopped it? it had seemed she was just paralyzed with fear… she sighed… how pathetic. She then and there vowed to herself that she was never ever going to let the happen… fear was there to be conquered and that was just what she needed to do. Easier said than done perhaps, but now that she had to fight vampires and stuff she couldn’t let that stand in the way. She looked up as finally the bell rang and she gathered her things quickly. The brunette sighed as she rose to her feet and turned as she heard a voice behind her. The voice that had also sounded through the class while correcting her mistakes; she frowned for a second before shaking her head “Its fine” she shrugged as she didn’t feel bad at all. The girl frowned… “Sure” she then replied with a smile. She would take every opportunity to skip school without repercussions “Thanks” she smiled again as she ran a hand through her long brown curls that flowed down her back and reached her slim waste.

She knew who they were… she was aware of the stories about them that rang through the school… but honestly she couldn’t care less and really, it wasn’t any of her business.
