Larissa tried not to gag when the boy called her sweetheart. She flipped her hair and hurried to her next class, Creative Writing. This was her favorite class. She loved to write, mostly because it gave her a chance to escape the hell she was in. In all of her stories there was always a damsel in distress and her prince usually died because things never worked out for the damsel. The damsel was usually from a broken home and she was usually a victim of incestial domestic/sexual abuse. The Creative Writing teacher thought it was a work of art. Larissa secretly called it a mirror to the life no one knew she lived.
Larissa stood up slowly when the bell rang, not wanting to leave the only place she didn't have to pretend. She gathered her books and quietly walked to her locker. Larissa opened it and began to shuffle through the many papers she had for Chemistry.
((so sorry it's so short, but it's all I can fit in right now, cuz I gotta go to work...I'll be on tomorrow.))

The blonde grinned at the look that crossed the girl’s face. Good. He could deal with being hated. He had been used to that after all and well. It was easy. No-one expected anything of you and you didn’t have think about anyone else. He just did not have the time to do so. He was mostly too busy with just surviving and getting through the days and making sure not to completely lose his sanity in the process. Okay so he wasn’t sure how well he was succeeding in that particular matter, but really he was trying his best to just get by and really other people’s problems were not something he could handle on top of that. It was just too much. He looked up in his math’s class. The teacher still going on about one thing or another. He rolled his eyes. This was just so boring. He stared out the window for a moment wishing he could just be out there. He didn’t even really cared about what he would do once he was out there, but it was bound to be better than sitting in a stuffy room having someone telling you what to do. Authority issues much? He smirked at his own thoughts as he shook his head. How pathetic was that?
James sighed as the bell finally rang. He quickly gathered his things. He checked his new schedual and he would be having… Chemistry. Oh my god. Where they trying to drive him insane? He shook his head, sending his shoulder-length dirty-blond hair flying around his face. He walked out of the room and towards his locker where he stuffed the books he had already used and then glanced around and when no-one was looking popped a few pills in his mouth. He was getting one major headache. He closed his eyes letting the drugs course through his veins. He shook himself out of it before getting ready for class. There were still a few minutes left and so he headed outside running a hand through his hair as he took out a cigarette. He took a deep drag before staring ahead blankly stretching his aching body. Man he just hated this. At times he just wondered why he was even still bothering. He just wanted to throw the towel into the ring and just congratulate these people on their win. He however knew he couldn’t do that now with Renee being taken in as well. He now needed to take her welfare into account. He sighed shaking his head he really had no idea how he was going to do this. He had more than enough trouble in his life without having to take care of someone else. No-one else was going to do it.
He threw away his cigarette but then went back on her way inside as he walked into his chemistry class and slid in to his seat. He got out his books and opened another book he was reading for himself. He hated chemistry with a passion. Hell he hated school with a passion. He could sit in his room for hours with a book and not care, but when at school… ah well he would just have to get through. Skipping school on his first day was not a smart move or so he thought. He was however not known for his model behaviour at school and yes he had had his fair share of detentions and he had even been suspended on numerous occasions for a number of different things. He sighed as he turned a page hoping for an hour of some reading and just tuning out the teacher. The blond made himself as comfortable as he could waiting for the nightmare to end and the next one to begin.
[[no worries hun... talk to you tomorrow then!]]

Larissa sat down in her seat and nearly groaned when she saw the boy from earlier. "Gosh, nearly every class." She thought to herself.
Larissa slumped back in her seat and started to doodle on her syllabus as she read it. This class was a hands on class. The teachers name was Kim Meerdink and yes he was a boy. Larissa giggled silently and kept doodle/reading. The partners that Kimmy chose for us were our partners the rest of the year. Team work is a must. Larissa sort of zoned out until the teacher began to talk.
"Gosh, " She thought to herself, "What a god awful nasely voice."
"Okay today's lab day. It's the first day, I know. We're going to be pairing up." Mr. Meerdink, the Chem teacher started listing off names. "Mr. Fords and Miss Jenner. Mr. Mitchel and Miss Lanning..." The teacher kept listing off names and then Larissa realized that she was paired up with the "Sweet heart." She rolled her eyes and sat down at a lab table.
[sorry, I've been uber busy...it's really short...again but my lunch period is almost up.]

The blonde boy ran a hand through his hair as he as he turned a page as he looked around his new class. The teen completely did not pay attention to what the teacher was saying. It wasn´t important. He didn´t give a damn about school. It just wasn´t important to him… he was probably going to end up in the gutter somewhere anyway. No matter how much he would try. It was just the way it was. Ah well… it didn´t matter. The boy knew that he would have to at sit it out for at least two more years in that place. Two more years before he could get out and do whatever it was he wanted. Not that he knew what that was of course, but he´d figure it out. Oh yes, he would. He would get himself and that little girl out of that hell-hole. He didn’t know how he was going to get that done, but he needed to. He couldn’t leave her there in that place. The teen was uncertain on how it was all going to play out but he just needed to find a way to keep that girl safe. He sighed slightly rolling his eyes at his own foolishness.
His head snapped up as he heard his name… What? He sighed looking around… who was this Jenner? He groaned inwardly. The gods really must hate him. He rose to his feet and walked over to the table wondering what they were going to have to do. Chemistry really wasn’t his thing, even if he would usually get straight As in all his classes. He didn’t really know how he did it… he didn’t really do any of the work they needed to do. Yes, he did the reading and well, that was apparently enough. He was not about to look that gift horse in the mouth and was just happy he learned rather easily. He sat down at the table “Hello again Princess” he smiled as he leaned back in his seat opening his chemistry book to the page written on the blackboard quickly scanning the page for their directions. It wasn’t all too difficult… he sighed slightly. This really was going to be one looong day. Man he hated school. He hated the rules, the classes … it was all just so boring. He then glanced at the page to see what they would need to get and imprinted what they needed to do and went to go and collect the ‘ingredient’ that they would need for their experiment…

"Okay, let's cut the crap." Larissa whispered fiercely. "Stop calling me all that bullshit and maybe we can get through this without me satisfying my urge to punch you in your already bruised up face. Okay?" Without waiting for an answer Larissa flipped open her book and groaned internally. Blood sampling.
"Okay students." Kimmy said. "We're gonna get to know each other on the cellular level." His face lit up at his own joke. "Oh, you people are hopeless." He muttered when no one laughed at his joke.
Larissa leaned back in her seat, her curiousity getting the better of her. She knew she shouldn't have said anything about the bruise on James' face. It wasn't any of her damn business, but she also knew what it took to get those bruises. Larissa's mind wandered down to the bruises on her inner thighs that were cleverly covered up. Larissa regretted saying what she to him even more.
[[it's all good. heck, i had chem last year and blood sampling was the easiest i could come up with lamo]]

James looked up and raised an eyebrow “hit a nerve now have I sweetheart?” he smirked ignoring her comment. He really didn’t care what she thought and it wasn’t any of her business anyway. He could always say he’d been in a fight. Which – in fact – was true… sort of. He didn’t even really care anymore. He leaned back in his seat just staring of into space not bothering to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. He had more important things to think about. He heaved an inward sigh. Things really had become difficult. He rolled his eyes silently cursing his father. Why did that bastard have to … he pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind as really, this wouldn’t do any good. He ran a hand through his dirty-blond hair. How much longer could he keep this up? it was just so sick and tired of it all. He however knew he couldn’t give up. Couldn’t give in. The little girl needed help and really he couldn’t leave her alone in that place. Fuck… when had he gone soft? He shook himself out of all these thoughts and looked up noticing the teacher had stopped talking.
He glanced over at the girl beside him and glanced at the book she had opened. He rolled his eyes. Blood sampling? Really? Ah well. There were worse things weren’t there? the blonde just sighed. Man he hated school. It was pointless. No matter how well he did – he had all As after all – he would probably end up in the gutter somewhere anyway. He really had no illusions of things being different. Ah well… who cared anyway? He certainly didn’t. The blond southerner would think of something. He always had known how to survive and this of course was no different. He yawned as he stretched his aching body slightly looking around as everyone got to work. He rolled his eyes. Fucking good-two-shoes, the lot of them. He supposed it was their prerogative though. Just because he hated school and had issues with authority – no really? – didn’t mean they had the same problems. Ugh… thinking really never brought anything good. It was one of the things he loved about reading. He would just be able to get lost in a story and forget everything that was going on around him and that was just something he needed at times.

Larissa rolled her eyes and nudged James with her elbow hard in his ribs.
"Will you please pay attention! I have to jab you with this stick thing." She said, wrinkling her nose.
She waited while he held out his hand and she took the metal poking device and stuck his finger hard. Larissa took one look at the blood and held back a gag. She could almost feel herself turning green. Larissa pinched the bridge of her nose and quickly applied a small amount of the blood onto the sampling card and put a drop of a chemical on it and watched as the blood clot. It looked so disgusting that Larissa nearly threw up again. "You're O possitive or somethin'." She groaned, looking away from the blood, but unfortunately for her, right at James.
((Again, sorry its so short))

The blonde boy grit his teeth in pain as the girl jabbed him in the ribs with her elbow. He sent her a glare. Man did that hurt. Why did that man have to break his ribs… again? it was just getting so tedious. He grumbled some profanities under his breath before turning to the girl, his eyes narrowed and his sea-coloured eyes now dark and intense. He rolled his eyes “Well, get on with it then” he commented as he held out his hand. He didn’t even bat an eyelash at the sharp prick. He watched the girl’s face turn green and smirked “there a problem sweetheart?” he asked as she did the rest of the assignment and told him he was O negative. He shrugged. What the hell did that matter? He didn’t really care. He smirked once more as the girl turned her head away from the blood and he rolled his eyes “having some problems there sweetness?” he asked his eyebrow’s raised as he met her eyes with his stormy sea-coloured ones. This was all rather amusing to him. It was only blood for Christ sake. It was not big deal. Hell he’d seen so much of his own blood… but that was for another time to think about. He ran a hand through his hair before turning his head back towards the girl beside him and picked up the metal device and waited for her to give him her finger so he could do the same to her as she had just done to him.
He heaved an inward sigh as he was deep in thought… he really needed to figure out a way to keep him and the little girl safe. Was he even ever going to find a way? He would just have to live through the next few years and then he would be able to leave, and take the girl with him. He didn’t know how he had pulled that of, but somehow she had really taken to him. It made helping her a lot easier though, so it was alright with him. He stifled a yawn. Damned was he exhausted. Was one decent night sleep really too much to ask? Alright, so often he’d have himself to blame. Going out at night, getting drunk and having a good time trying to forget about what went on back ‘home’. Ugh… he really just needed to stop thinking and so just refocused on the assignment ahead and the girl beside him.
